What is the process a soldier goes through when returning to iraq from R&R?

my husband left from being home on r&r on may 5th. yesterday he told me he was in kuwait but i haven't heard from him for 26 hours. i'm just wondering what they do in kuwait before they leave to go back to iraq & how long approximately the process takes. if anyone already went through this and can help me out i'd appreciate it. thank you.
