Best option for a new operating system?

If you want Mac... do a search for making a "Hackintosh" there are lots of how to's for this... And the best arguments for Linux would be... 1- More secure, 2- Virtually no viruses affect it, 3- No third party anti-virus software needed, 4- Due to all the above, it runs smoother and in most cases faster. Ubuntu has had no viruses for well over 5-years now, as long as you keep the system up-to-date... its virtually worry free. EDIT: Ubuntu and many other distributions of Linux are now every bit as easy to learn as Windows... especially if you have dealt with a mac at all, very similar. With nearly daily progression of the Linux system it is the most up-to-date OS available over any other, thats why Win 7 has adopted so much of the "eye-candy" and "tweaking" abilities that Linux developed and has had for years.
