Ramadan:question about Muslim gender separated weddings?

Yeah it is gender separated, but after the bride makes her big entrance, an announcement will be made for all the women to cover up because the groom, her brothers, father, uncles, enter. They stay for a while, then the bride is told to cover up in order for the groom's male family members come in and maybe dance for a little. This goes on for maybe an hour, then alllll the guys leave and women can continue partying :p
